Sitting the entire day at your computer at the workplace, then in the car, or at home in front of the TV or back in front of the computer? Sounds familiar, right? An average person sits 14 hours a day!
This long sitting is typical for the modern times we live in, but unfortunately its is not good for the body at all. The human body is simply not designed for such a long sitting. Added to this stress and poor nutrition at workplace, no wonder that signs of aging start to appear pretty fast. Sure, we can not and do not want to quit our jobs right away, but we can try to reduce the aging process.
What you can do at workplace
It starts with getting to work: try to find a job that is not too far from your workplace, then leave the car and ride your bike! As a result, you exercise and stimulate the circulation, which helps against tiredness, strengthens the immune system and thus makes your skin look more vital.
It is important that you drink plenty of water. Water is an important source of natural anti-aging products because the skin needs a lot of moisture. Water also contains important minerals that the body itself can not produce. Also try not to snack on any sweets. Take some fruit with you every day, maybe an apple and bananas. These can cover some of your daily needs and provide your body with vitamins. Your skin will thank you.
If you have lots of work to do, which means lots of sitting, get up from time to time, open the window, and get your circulation going. With prolonged sitting, it is normal for the body to go into the resting phase - we feel sleepy and limp. Walk around the office a bit and move your back. Try to relieve your back while sitting, often changing your position. Ideal here would be an ergonomically adapted office chair, which can help you to change the body position while sitting and keep the muscles in motion.
