In this regard, researchers from the University of Texas Medical Branch (the University of Texas System located in Galveston, Texas, United States) have found that older women can prolong their lives by regularly consuming chamomile tea. Over a period of seven years, the scientists studied the effects of chamomile tea on over 1,600 women. It was found that the women who regularly drank chamomile tea had 29 percent lower risk of dying. Curiously, however, this effect was not found in men, which is why the scientists assumed that men are immune to this effect.
