To be eternally young or at least to look like that - who does not want it? And, in fact, thanks to scientific research, there are now numerous methods with which it is possible to delay at least the visual aging a little. But there are also numerous anti-aging myths. We clarify here what makes you really old and what keeps you (almost) young.
MYTH 1: "IF YOU USE A CREAM FOR LONGER PERIOD OF TIME, ITS EFFECT DIMINISHES!"
This statement is not quite true. After all, each cream usually takes four weeks to develop its first effect. Therefore, it is important to try a new product for at least four week time.
MYTH 2: "STRESS ENSURES PREMATURE SKIN AGING!"
It is true that stress causes the formation of free radicals in our body. And these accelerate the aging process. The result: skin looks dull and wrinkles develop. But you can prevent that by using care products that are equipped with antioxidants, i.e. with natural cell protectors, in particularly stressful life phases. For example, various vitamins manage to neutralize free radicals.
"MYTH 3: ANTI-AGING CREAMS SHOULD BE USED AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE!"
The aging of skin begins from middle of 20-ties, which, however, also depends strongly on disposition, habits, way of life and the environment a person lives in. In this phase of life, i.e. during twenties it actually makes sense to provide the skin with light anti-aging products. Top of the list should be products that contain both antioxidants and sunscreens. Products that contain strong active ingredients, such as hormones, should be used later. There is a risk that such ingredients will irritate young skin because it is still sensitive at this stage.
